Environment conservation is a priority and concern for the humankind and for us as a company, and smaller agarwood plantations are well integrated into the natural habitat. We plant and produce our raw material from certified plantations with our own technology and patents that focus on encourage Agarwood tree to generate oil, and harvesting without cutting down trees for sustainability.
In terms of benefits to our bodies, Heartwood with resin of agarwood tree is wildly used for oil extraction in Middle East. Nowadays, 4 of 16 agarwood tree species its leaves can make a tea. “Aquilaria Phanraphee” is one of them extracted from tissue culture which is highly beneficial to our body. In the year 1991, Thai researcher by Dr. Pheeraphan Wijitpahn has planted the seeds of 2 Agarwood species in 8 provinces in northern Thailand. With the so-called growing method “Cross-species” is the experiment of growing different cultivars in the same plot to compare the growth of each species. After finding the advantages and disadvantages of both species, he has researched the field of heredity by using genetic manipulation and combining the advantages of both cultivars with tissue culture technology until success and being origin of new species of Agarwood in the world named “Rapheephan” in 1998.
Because it is a new Agarwood species and very healthy that can be grown in all climates, and can secrete oil at a young age, the refined oil output is accepted by the world market as well. The creation of the world standard has been studied and researched each species of Agarwood tree from oil extraction, color separation, toughness, and fragrance according to market demand. Along with the development of oil extraction with international standards, it also helps to increase production capacity.
It becomes the work of great pride for us that once in their lives we can use the wisdom of villagers that have been passed down since their ancestors to develop by applying modern management technology combined with traditional wisdom until being able to register patents, species, and invention techniques for making oil in Agarwood wood, covering both domestic and worldwide as the first in the world.
This can be considered as a preservation of Thai fragrant trees and extending the commercialization of the best Thai plants to be recognized internationally.
